Ant and Seb's Mysterious Girl

Saturday Night Go Away!

16 Aug 08

Poor old Anton and Sebastian Martins.

The sibling singers didn't get the result they were after from the judges...

...And even a second - third - and fourth - chorus from the lads didn't persuade Simon and Co. to put them through.

Ant and Seb - who reckon they sound "Like P Diddy and Usher... er, and Rick Astley" - starred in the X Factor ads which heralded the start of this, the new series.

And in homes all around the county, X Factor fans have been delighted by their amazing version of Peter Andre's Mysterious Girl (especially, it has to be said, Seb's indescribable raps)!

Fighting valiantly against the fits of giggles which descended during their audition, Simon told them, "It's more like Ant and Deaf".

Even when Danni described them as "crazy bad," the lads kept right on trying with one more chorus... and then two.

In the end security supreme Tony escorted the pair from the famous X, as Simon himself got more and more cross, ordering "You've got. To. Leave"!

And when Mr Cowell finally left the room on a break he was confronted once more by Ant and Seb and a desperate rendition of the oh-so-apt Rick Astley track, Never Gonna Give You Up".

Perhaps Simon should treat the lyrics of that song as prophetic. You never know when Ant and Seb will find you, ready to audition again!

Am I the only one who thinks security man Tony looks like Shrek's brother?? (in a nice way....)

These brothers seem popular with the website fans.. its not the last we've heard of Ant & Seb is it???

They tried hard, well at least one of them did but they were awful Their totally ridiculous persistence was very embarrassing.

it started off good but then it went a bit weird

They were pretty awful, but they can't be blamed for thinking they are good; they go through at least 2 auditions and an interview before they go infront of Simon and Co.

Well, I thought they came over as nice lads. To be honest, the one on the left had a decent voice. Dermot was surprised that they were forecfully thrown out. Nice kids who didn't deserve to be treated like that.

I nearly wet myself laughing. Seb looked uncomfortable the whole time and didn't look like he even knew what he was doing.
