Jeffrey breaks the spell?

Magic moments for Jeffrey...
45 year-old Jeffrey Patterson impressed the judges at auditions when he sang Otis Redding's Sitting on the Dock of the Bay.
He sailed through to bootcamp but warned, "This is my last chance".
Sitting backstage at Indigo at London's O2, he told us, "I've been in the music business for 20 odd years now. I had a hit in the 1980's with my band 7th Heaven but that fell apart for political reasons".
"I had a couple of dance records, recorded under the names Huff and Herb and The Three Jays. And then I co-wrote an album for an indie band named Cub".
"I've been on the edge of success so many times, but nothing's come of it. To me personally, it's felt like I've had a curse or a spell on me. Everything goes wrong..."
And he admitted, "I gave up the singing in the end because it caused me too much pain".
Born in the east end of London, dad-of-three Jeffrey resurrected his musical ambitions when his girlfriend Dawn dragged him along to the Manchester X Factor auditions.
He told us, "I wanted to go home, but she made me stay. To have come as far as bootcamp is amazing".
And despite just missing out on a place at Judges' Houses, Jeffrey has the taste for making music again. He said, "In 2008, The X Factor is the holy grail for singers. If you get Simon Cowell and the guys behind you, the sky's the limit".
And toiling away at his home studio in Barnsley, he's still aiming to make his musical mark. He says, "I love production and I love writing. I'm a singer songwriter. I do have a load of songs written so anyone wants a melody they just have to come and see me - I can pull it out the hat!"
