A 'mighty' shock for Tony

Danny is Tony's blast from the past!
We've all heard the saying 'It's a small world' - but you don't expect to rock up to The X Factor bootcamp and hear someone you knew years ago calling your name!
That's exactly what happened, however, to High and Mighty singer Tony.
Says the East Londoner, "We'd just arrived at the beginning of bootcamp and we were trying to get our heads around what was happening. Suddenly I head a voice going, 'Hey! Tony!'"
"I turned around and couldn't believe Danny Evans was standing there. We used to sing in the pubs together, but I haven't seen him for seventeen years!"
Tony and Danny lost contact, and while Danny moved to Spain, Tony concentrated on his other talent, the scarily named 'cage fighting'.
He told us, "I'd been boxing from the age of seven and then I did Olympic freestyle wrestling. Cage fighting is mixed martial arts. It's taken me around the world, including Thailand and Japan. I'm doing more singing these days - it's less painful"!
Now singing with old mucker Rodney as duo High And Mighty, the pair perform in pubs, clubs and at weddings.
Said Rodney; "It's nice to come to bootcamp with your mate, because you can lean on each other".
"We're quietly confident - but you can never be sure of what the judges are looking for. But it's obvious the talent this year is on another level - and no matter who goes through, there's gonna be an amazing show on the telly".
We now know that although Danny Evans went through to Judges' Houses, the X Factor journey for High and Mighty ended here.
Said Tony, "Danny was always an amazing singer, even then".
"There was a friendly rivalry then with all the girls - and obviously Danny always won".
"He's a lovely guy, and I hope it all works out. We wish him a lot of luck!"
