Daniel's 'secret families'
The News of the World screamed that Daniel Evans has "two secret families, we can sensationally reveal"! The paper told how Dan's love life got very complicated fourteen years ago, when his relationship with first wife Anne ended and a new relationship with a new girlfriend, Tanya, was begun soon after. When both women quickly became pregnant, Dan suddenly had a lot of new responsibility to cope with!
It is true! Daniel's previous love life was certainly complicated and, as well as baby Ana-Maria, he does have two older kids, Daniel (15) and Mollie (14) who he is very proud of. Both women are now in other long-term relationships and Daniel has always kept in regular contacts with both his son and daughter.
He told us, "I am very lucky to have the wonderful family I have, I have a good relationship with everyone and Daniel and Mollie come out to visit me in Spain together whenever they can".
"I have a brilliant relationship with my ex Anne who is Daniel's mum; she is my best friend. Her husband is also a great guy.
"I was with my wife Jacqueline for ten years and luckily her and Anne got on like a house on fire. They'd go shopping together, and gang up on me!"
The extended family are so close they all get together to see the show when they can.
Says Danny; "We only get a few tickets for the show on Saturday nights so I have to share them around. Everyone else goes to Anne's house in Romford to watch the show together; and my mum stays there with Ana-Maria and Mollie".
"I love all of my children and I would never keep them a secret. I'm a very proud dad".
Eoghan snubs troops?
Ulster newspaper Belfast Today has blasted baby faced Eoghan Quigg for not taking part in a scheduled visit to injured and maimed British troops in Surrey military rehab centre Headley Court last week.
The X Factor contestants travelled to Headley to lend their support and give a special rendition of the fundraising single Hero.
The paper questioned whether Eoghan had snubbed the troops by not taking part as part of a 'Republican stand', and questioned whether this was because his family live in a staunchly nationalist town, Dungiven, in County Londonderry.
The paper claimed it had received many complaints about Eoghan's no-show; including one from an ex serviceman which said, "If Eoghan did snub the visit because of some political view, it's disgusting".
It's not true. According to an X Factor spokeslady, Eoghan's no-show at Headley Court was a co-incidence and nothing more.
She said, "Eoghan, Austin Drage and Scott Bruton could not attend the visit because they had filming commitments for Saturday's show. All of the X Factor contestants sang on the single Hero which is in shops, and none have refused to visit the soldiers because of any political viewpoint." So now you know.
Simon scoops award
News agency Reuters reports that Simon Cowell has scooped a Special Recognition gong at the National Television Awards. The award was given to congratulate Simon for his work on telly shows including (of course!) The X Factor and sister show Britain's Got Talent.
It's true! The X Factor gang were out in force at Wednesday's National Television Awards. Simon received his award from West End impresario Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, and thanked him saying, "I've definitely become more spoilt, more shallow, and can honestly say I have loved every single minute of it. It's the best job in the world."
The judges party - except Dannii!
Still on the National Television Awards, The Sun reports that rifts are rife once more in the X Factor camp (quelle surprise!).
The paper fuelled rumours of a split between Dannii and judges bench team mates Simon, Louis, and, er, Cheryl. In fact, all of 'em, really. Again.
They reported that while Dannii attended the TV do's official after-bash, Simon, Louis and Cheryl had a secret knees-up in an upmarket shandyboozerie named Mr Chow's in Knightsbridge. And they reckoned Ms Minogue hadn't been invited at all (boo hiss!)!
It's not true! Simon and Cheryl may have gone for dinner at Mr Chow's, but it wasn't a party, more a classy repast! Dannii didn't attend any do because she had to be up bright and early to go to do a celebrity appearance at the Next store in London's new shopping mall, The Westfield Centre, the next morning. And, in fact, it was Louis who went to the TV do's official bash, where he hob-nobbed for a couple of hours with his showbiz mates before calling it a night and heading off home!
