Laryngitis leaves Diana speechless!

Diana Vickers may miss tomorrow's X Factor after being stuck down with a nasty bout of laryngitis.

Diana lost her voice on Tuesday and medication has not sufficiently helped her recovery.

The 17 year-old from Blackburn will see specialist ear, nose and throat doctors this afternoon; the doctors will then decree whether or not Diana should take place in this week's competition.

Although fellow competitiors Alexandra and Rachel have already battled through performances while struck down with bugs, it looks like Diana's illness may be just too severe.

Unfortunately Diana has already missed a lot of preparations in the run-up to tomorrow's all-important show.

But the singer is still hoping against hope she will be able to take part in the extra special Mariah's songbook show this week.

hope diana get thown out this week she cant sing at all she shoulnt have even got this far and she cant be that bad cause she was screaming on the xtra factor

Why is the Dianna still there? omg she has to go, her voice is so annoying, and it doesn't take long to brush the hair. Can't wait to see her go lol Ruth to win she has the best voice :D Get Dianna out :)

no she shouldnt have been thrown out, she is a unique singer, she has a reli nice personality and its no fair that she is ill. And by the way, daniel should have gone WEEKS ago, he is rubbish, and he should have gone, NOT laura white, who was a brilliant singer! This competition is starting to suk :(

Being ill cannot be helped, people who are suggesting she can’t sing a Mariah song and is faking her illness is just ridiculous and such a silly thing to say. Fingers crossed she is well enough next week, if not I don’t think she should be given a free pass on to next week, people should get to vote even if she doesn't sing and we can see how strong her fan base is or not.

I think she should of had the free pass this week but if her voice is still bad next week she should pull out as she will be taking up someones space who will deserve to be there.

it would have been a massive shame if diana was kicked out for being ill however, i think the producers let her stay in because she is one of the favourites and almost definitely wouldnt have been voted out but before the show, i would have said that laura would almost definitely not have been voted out and she was cheryl must be relieved that diana wasnt in the end

I disagree with the contstants who are implying that Diana should have seriously risked her health by performing on the night. Because that is OBVIOULSY what she would have done if she had been told that she would be out if she didnt. That would have been one of the most absurd decisions in TV entertainment history.
