Daily Star says…

Gareth Gates is in the running to replace Dannii Minogue as an X Factor judge because Simon Cowell is looking to add another male to the judging panel.

It’s not true! There are no plans in the pipeline to change the current judging lineup, Dannii is an integral part of The X Factor’s long term, it’s all just speculation.

The Sun says…

The X Factor finalists’ smash hit Hero has now raised £1 million for the Help for Heroes and Poppy Appeal charities, and looks on course for another week at the top of the charts.

It’s true! It has now shifted more than 540,000 copies, making it the top-selling single of the past two years! Help for Heroes founder and ex-Army officer Bryn Parry said yesterday: “This sum is absolutely amazing. I had no idea so many people would buy the single and give so generously.”

The Mirror says…

Diana Vickers is at the centre of a ‘fix’ speculation after she missed Saturday’s show. One theory is Diana did not have laryngitis but instead threw a sicky because she would have struggled with Mariah Carey week as the songs do not suit her voice.

It’s not true! Nobody was more upset than Diana about not being able to sing on Saturday night, and as to not being able to sing a Mariah song, people said she wouldn’t be able to sing disco songs but she proved what a versatile performer she is that week by nailing her disco song.

In a statement released today Diana said: “I felt under the weather all last week but didn’t want to miss out on the fireworks display. On Thursday I saw the doctor and was given antibiotics and the following day was diagnosed with Laryngitis by a Harley Street specialist. Up until Saturday afternoon, I was still hoping and praying that I would be well enough to perform but the producers spoke to the doctor who made it clear that I could risk long-term damage to my voice. I was absolutely devastated to be told I couldn’t perform on Saturday night and disappointed not to be able to meet Mariah Carey. I am due to see the doctor again on Friday so fingers crossed I will be able to take part in this Saturday’s show.”

News of the World says…

ANGRY Dannii Minogue has revealed X Factor boss Simon Cowell is giving her the cold shoulder, choosing to blank Dannii in favour of new judge Cheryl.

It’s half true! Dannii has admitted that she has found it “emotional” at times this series, and yes Simon does sit next to Cheryl on the live shows and gets on very well with her, but the idea that Dannii is furious at the lack of attention she is receiving from him is ludicrous!

The Daily Mail says…

X Factor fans are claiming Saturday's result was a fix and have launched a campaign to get booted off contestant Laura White back on the show, with over 18,000 people signing an online petition to get the Bolton lass reinstated.

It’s not true! Whilst 18,000 people have signed the petition to get Laura back on the show an X Factor spokeswoman strongly denied any foul play occurred during Saturday’s public vote.

In an official statement she said: “There were absolutely no issues with the phone lines or the voting system which is subject to rigorous procedures and protocols. Our viewers vote for the act they want to keep in the competition and last Saturday, Laura White and Ruth Lorenzo received the least number of votes.”

Oh, that's a relief. I was getting quite scared that Dannii was gonna get replaced! I don't know why she would though - she's brilliant and I really love her. Cheryl is an amazing judge also. Girls Aloud tour in Newcastle, 5/5/09! Can't wait! Love you Cheryl, you're amazing! :D

I think Saturday show was not a fix. It was just coincident - viewers vote for the act they want to keep in the competition and unfortunately, Laura and Ruth received the least number of votes. I thank the judges should reinstate Laura back because, Diana did not sing on Saturday. Therefore, two people can be voted off tomorrow - and that will be fair. Maybe, they can allow her to sing any song of her chose - as it is too late for a new song. Very urgent!.

Diane has talent&by far is one of the best on x factor. Her voice is unique&different &believe me she'll be big way after x factor is over..Im appealing to everyone to give her a chance.Rachel should have gone last week. She was brutal. Her attitude is terrible towards her mentor.she doesn't need help!!!!lets vote DIANE

Alot of your comments are unfair on Diane. The doctor told her she couldn't sing. There is alot of begrudgers out there&there seems to be a hate campaign against diane.Dont believe everything you read&see.Pictures can be deceiving&distorted.Give DIANE A BREAK!!

I am Ruth's fan 'cos we come from the same country!.However, she doesn't have the fan base she could have in sunny Spain and that is a fact. Neither Ruth or Laura were the worst singers and we all know that. Diana was a fix (should she sing twice this week?),Rachel out of tune and crying,Daniel where is the X?,,Eoghan maybe cute but no strong voice. The show is turning into a soap opera,if you cry you stay in! but Ruth won't 'cos she has that Spanish thing! and she will fight forever. Diana should sing 2 songs this week . British song for the competition and Mariah song for her free ticket to this show Then she can show if she can sing Mariah, which I doubt. Alex to win!!! She has the best voice and looks and that's what it's about. I would be really curious to know which Mariah song Diana was to sing last week. They don't mention it anywhere. This really gives one the feeling that the thing was fixed.

I think everyone is taking this way too seriously, its entertainment at the end of the day, we all vote, we all judge, maybe sometimes for the politically or industry correct people, some people vote for the ones that they dig. I think sore losers should really take a good look at life, if you have been voted off, its hardly the end of the world, far worse things in life happen around the globe. Xfactor is not the b-all and End-all of the music industry.

ruth shud win. She has the best talent in the competition. Daniel -too old and isnt that good, Rachel -i dnt like her and her songs are abit dodgy, Eoghan -fed up of 12yrs olds saying hes 'hot', Diana -horrible voice, Jls -dnt mind them, Alexsandra -dont mind her either, Ruth is the best overall. xx But laura shud not have gone,.x

thats the whole point!! we tried repeatedly to vote for laura, but was either subjected to the 'busy tone' or told 'this number is unavailable, try again later'...lets face it ITV dont exactly have a good track record for phone ins do they...Laura has made me like that dreadful song'endless love',she sang it beautifully
