Brian on Britney - exclusive
24 Nov 08
The X Factor Creative Director Brian Friedman is ready to welcome an old friend to the show - a certain Ms Britney Spears.
Brian's worked with Britters before on promo videos for I Love Rock 'n' Roll, Overprotected and Toxic as well as her Dream Within A Dream tour.
And the X Factor dance-meister told us exclusively, "I am so excited about Britney coming here. I get to see Britney again, I get to see the dancers, and her director is coming over - he's one of my best friends"!
"This is great - it's like my two world colliding. It'll be really nice".
Brian, who is rumoured to reckon Britney's performance will be one of the raunchiest we've ever seen, also can't wait for his old mucker to take to the stage.
He revealed, "She is going to be doing a massive performance," and he let slip, "You know her album is called Circus, so we're going to be seeing a circus vibe coming in".
Then he said, "I wouldn't be surprised if there were elephants because this is The X Factor - and we go big here"!
On a personal level the meeting means a lot to Brian, who 'lost touch' with Britney during her troubles last year. He's previously said, "She is such a sweet, endearing person. It will be nice to reconnect," and explained; "Last year, I asked her to come and do X Factor but she was too hectic. This year it's happening. I'm so glad to see her back on track".
Brian promised us, "Her performance is going to be incredible".
"I've heard the album - and I love it. I loved the last album as well, but she didn't do much promotion for it. I'm so excited that for this album, she is going full speed ahead".
"You know, it's the ten year anniversary of Hit Me Baby One More Time so it's been a decade".
It seems Britney is going all out to prove herself with Saturday's performance. Brian said: "She has gone from the Princess of Pop to the new Queen of Pop".
"Now she is claiming her thone".
