JLS duet with Westlife

If in ten years time JLS can look back on their career having achieved only half the success Westlife have achieved then we’re sure they’d die happy men!
In a Louis Walsh master plan that saw his established superstars team up with his young protégés, the JLS – Westlife duet was a lesson to all aspiring boybands on how the professionals do it.
Singing the Westlife hit Flying Without Wings, the JLS boys showed no fear in sharing a stage with their idols, and performed next to the Irish pop legends as if it was the most natural thing in the world for them.
Dressed in smart dark clothes JLS opened the song, singing the first verse alone before they were joined on stage by Westlife who belted out the second. Then in a spine-tingling moment both bands harmonised together for the final verse, singing the uplifting words that seemed all the more resonant on a night like tonight.
The audience leapt to their feet at the song’s finale shouting their encouragement and support.
When Dermot quizzed Shane from Westlife at the end of the song, he only had positive words for the JLS boys:
“I think they’re going to win it tonight,” he beamed.
Are you as confident as Shane… can JLS win tonight?
