JLS - I'm Already There
13 Dec 08
With two songs down and one to go, the pressure walking out for their third song was immense.
To be in with a chance of making it to the final two acts – JLS needed a big performance.
Performing the Westlife classic I’m Already There, Aston, JB, Marvin and Oritse sang the song with so much emotion that it was obvious to everyone just how much these boys want to win.
Suited and booted, looking good enough to eat, the boys sang amongst the fireworks and pyrotechnics as though their lives depended on it.
Aston again took care of the lead, whilst his buddies backed him up admirably when he went in for the long notes.
The studio audience seemed happy with their performance, the central London fan-camp were ecstatic, but would the judges be so impressed?
The answer in short: YES THEY WERE!
Dannii congratulated the boys and singled Aston out for special praise: “That song shows off your vocal range beautifully she told him.”
“That was the most passionate performance ever from you guys,” Cheryl said: “You sung your socks off – you remind me of a young Take That!”
Simon too was thrilled claiming he couldn’t call who would win tonight: “That was your best performance of the night,” he told them.
Louis, swelling with pride implored the general public to vote: “These boys are four role models, please, please, please, pick up the phone and vote.”
Will you be following Louis’ instructions?
