Alexandra sings Silent Night
After a couple of Christmas chart hits, Alexandra pared down her performance with the simple and timeless hymn, Silent Night.
With the set transformed into a church-like setting, she sang - then joined by a choir dressed in white, she stepped her performance up a gear: singing over their voices, trilling in the high notes, and sounding every inch the diva she will surely go on to be.
Louis was delighted by her performance, "I knew you'd make the final. You are going to have a massive career in music".
Dannii said, "Get used to the red carpets and limos - you are our X Factor superstar songstress".
Simon was impressed, "That was outstandingly good. Come on! I know how much this mean to you. By any standard, outstanding".
And mentor Cheryl was fighting back tears. "We came into the competition with no expectations, just high hopes. I love you to pieces. I want to see you up there with the international superstars, which I know you can be. I love you. I love you, I love you".
And Alexandra lips quivered when she said, "Words cannot describe how I'm feeling right now - this is my dream come true".
