Alexandra's single in shops today

17 Dec 08

There's a new way to buy record-breaking single...

Alexandra Burke's debut single Hallelujah is available to buy in shops from today.

CD manufacturers are working overtime to ensure that enough copies will be available to keep up with public demand.

The X Factor winner is already topping the download charts hmv.com, 7Digital, Play.com and iTunes.

This, of course, means Alex is well on the way to be named as UK number one in the official chart when it is announced on Sunday - which would make UK Christmas No.1.

By end-of-play yesterday, Hallelujah had already been downloaded 149,546 times. This compares to the Leona Lewis single, A Moment Like This, which was downloaded 139,000 times over the course of a whole week.

what other songs are on her single, hallelujah, candy man, and is there one more?

I got my CD today, I am glad they put Alexandra's performance of Candyman as one of the B-sides. I wish these Buckley fans would stop being so petty about this, it is a great version and regardless of what they think of it, it is not going to stop them liking the Buckley one so why all this fuss. It is but one more cover of a song which has been done by about 170 odd singers already.
