Live Results 6 : Another one bites the dust

It's only a game lads19 Nov 09

When it comes to singing on a Saturday night, we all know The X Factor finalists can be fiercely competitive… however, our moles have discovered a new rivalry that has broken out in the house between two of Simon’s charges: Danyl and Olly.

So what is it that is causing these two men to bicker and squabble like a pair of naughty schoolboys? Perhaps one’s jealous of the other’s fan mail? Maybe Danyl thinks he’s a better dancer than the snake-hipped Essex boy, or Olly’s been claiming he can hit higher notes than the Reading-based teacher?

No, nothing so original. The pair are arguing over football.

It’s a topic folk have argued over for as long as any of us can remember… and it just goes to show that budding popstars or not, these two are no different.

It all started when Conference side Rushden and Diamonds invited Olly and Dan to a training session, having heard along the grapevine that the former was a nifty striker and the latter was a handy goalkeeper.

“Rushden and Diamonds Football Club have asked Olly and I to go down to their training ground have a session with them. I can’t wait to go and show Olly that he’s not as good as he thinks he is!” Danyl confided with a cheeky look on his face.

“All week he’s been bragging about how many goals he’s going to score against me, so I’m eager to get on that pitch and take him down a peg or two… It’s ON!”

“The guys at Reading FC have been amazing too – they’ve started off this whole ‘Support Danyl’ campaign where they’ve had posters and t-shirts made with my face on!”

Although, frustratingly for Danyl, it wasn’t a clean sweep of support from his hometown club.

“There was one Reading player who refused to wear a Support Danyl t-shirt. When he was asked why he wouldn’t put one on, he said it was because he was a fan of Olly Murs… which is very disappointing!”

So the rivalry within The X Factor camp is as healthy as ever, boiling and bubbling over into other areas… just in time for Saturday’s show!

Kick-off 8pm on ITV1.

Mr Blobby had a number 1. Lets see how well the next single does when she can't plug it on the X factor.

Cheryl a young star millionaire and a string of number one hits both in her group and now her first single straight to number one. Listen to her and Simon and Louis and Dannii. Diva behaviour when you are a nobody will mean you keep your day job.

it is so obvious cheryl does not like Danyl, she always has something negative to say to him or praise him sarcastically. i think judging from her performance on x-factor she not better than these guys. for lewis, he is just a joke, he should get himself together and let Danyl be, he's always whinning when he's got clowns as wolld class performers.

Does Simon respect a performers need and right to be comfortable with what is being asked of them or are they expected to just do as they are told without discussion? He readily admits (as with Jamie) that he does make mistakes, misjudgements in the song choices... bit late to be having that discussion when the contestant is leaving the show and their chance is gone.

not liking the x factor as much this year as much as previously. Instead of contestants threatening to quit they should just quit, and throw away a big opportunity and give it to someone who is committed and deserves it.

Love the x factor for the x factor. Love the unpredictability. Simon and Louis know EXACTLY what they are doing. They are business men first and foremost. They know a show will only grab the attention with controvesy and all credit to them. All these people who whine that so and so should be there...well VOTE. Votes are what make profits, not whingers thinking they wouldn't vote but can complain about the way the voting goes!

dear x factor, the judges should not be allowed to argue in front of the contestants. this will put pressure on them and they might think they shouldnt be there, at the end of the day its the contestants wot make the show not the judges. anyway jedward stop fulling out with each other your both flesh and blood and nobody ever should split you both up. i have got twin cousins and nobody as ever come between them, and they are 32yrs old. so stick together. anyway best luck to you all.

I think most people know not to believe what's written in those comics, they don't seem to like it when anyone is doing well for themselves, i'd just ignore it and not get them if I were you they're not worth the 10p or however much they cost
