As we come to terms with the fact that this series of The X Factor is over (sob), it’s hard NOT to shed tears of sartorial bewilderment as we lament the loss of K-Row ‘n’ Tulisa’s frock-offs and seminal style moments, such as Misha B’s nifty newspaper dress and err, Johnny Robinson’s tinfoil chic.
Over the course of the Live Shows, we’ve had a fashion master class by The Style Team’s Laury.
It was leotards-a-go-go for Kitty, a dress fashioned out of records for feisty Misha B, Aladdin chic for JR and most Oh.Em.Gee of all, Janet in heel-y high shoes. Who knew, eh?
Last weekend was no different as we found ourselves seduced by the glam-tastic proceedings on stage. As per, Tulisa looking thighly desirable in the shortest of dresses. K-Row also put it down, going to any length to look good in a marvellous, floor-sweeping maxi dress.
Metallics were on the fashion agenda too, with our Little Minxes shimmying in silver accessories and K-Row cooking up a storm in a gold mini-dress, nothing says party time like sequins!
Our Little Mixers also put distressed denim back on the map, inspiring us to dig out those old denim dungarees and hack at them with a pair of scissors, DIY stylee. Girls, we salute you!
And championing ‘glunge’ (that fashion-speak for ‘glamorous grunge’ in case y’all were wondering), we had Amelia buckling up in a leather-belted prom-dress and pink Dr Martens. Two sartorial thumbs-up must also be given to the punky prom queen for her tasselled dress she wore to duet with K-Row. Scorchio!
But that’s not all. Who can forget Marcus, no one rocks a suit ‘n’ textbook tailoring better that our stylish scouser. We loved his high-flying, blue-mazing pilot get-up, and the velvet blazer and sexy specs combo he wore for his duet with Gary Barlow.
With this in mind, our friends at Marks and Spencer have created a FAB.U.LOUS page full of tips ‘n’ trends for those of you looking to emulate the razzle dazzle looks as seen on screen. Click here to find out more.
And may we say to all the Finalists, well done guys – you absolutely f-rock!
