Misha B: ‘Ella Henderson is in a league of her own!’

Since appearing as a semi-finalist on The X Factor last year, Misha B’s diary has been packed to the brim. From releasing a stomper of a debut single to being asked to support Nicki Minaj on tour; this little lady simply hasn't stopped!

We caught up with the stylish singer to talk about hobnobbing with the likes of Grace Jones, what she thinks of this year’s X Factor and her fabulous new single. Enjoy!

Misha! How the bejeezus are you?
It’s been such a busy year! As well as taking part in The X Factor tour, I worked on my debut album. It was so exciting releasing my first single Homerun earlier this year as well. My new record Do You Think of Me comes out on the 4th of November.

A little bird told us you’ll be touring with Nicki Minaj…
I’ll be supporting Nicki Minaj during the UK leg of her tour later this month. I’ll be meeting her next week for the first time. I can’t wait. I’m excited and nervous; I hope I won’t be too star struck.

Wowza! Tell us about your highlights since appearing on The X Factor…
There have been loads. I enjoyed meeting all the talented producers who worked on my new album; they’ve inspired me so much. It was also pretty awesome meeting my icon, Grace Jones. She approached me – can you believe it?! She offered me career advice and we talked about fashion.

Impressive stuff! Are you still in touch with Kelly Rowland?
I’m still in touch with Kelly. She’s more than just a mentor; she’s like a big sister. I go to her for advice with regards to personal stuff and my career.

What about your fellow-finalists from last year?
I catch up with them all lots. I’m going to Amelia Lily’s birthday party tonight. Can you believe it’s her eighteenth birthday?! No doubt, we’ll celebrate in style.

Met anyone special recently?
I’m single and looking to mingle. I’m not obsessed with looks. I look at the internal rather than the external. I’d like a potential boyfriend to be sweet, funny and ambitious.

What do you make of this year’s finalists?
My favourites are Ella Henderson and James Arthur. Their talent leaves me speechless. Ella is in a league of her own. It’s incredible for someone so young to have such blinding vocals. Ella and James connect emotionally with the audience and that’s special.

Misha B’s debut single  Do You Think of Me is out on the 4th November 2012. You can pre-order it HERE!
