Angry Ariel

30 Aug 08

If The X Factor was a bad attitude competition, then holistic vocal coach, Ariel, from West Yorkshire would win hands down.

“I’ve warmed up my body, done lots of meditation, and I can pull off a lot of different styles,” she tells Dermot whilst she was waiting to go through to face the judges. “I will own the space when I enter the audition room,” she says with a steely look of determination etched across her face.

Once she enters the audition room, she menacingly stomps up to the judges and furiously rips up her number, before throwing the pieces over Dannii’s head.

“First up let’s sort this out, I’m not a number, I’m a human being.”

The judges look a bit bewildered as Ariel explains her occupation.

“You obviously think you can win?” Simon says.

“Of course,” she replies whilst moving off the X. When Cheryl asks her to stand back on the X, Ariel glares at her and returns to her place with a petulant stamp.

She then begins to sing an “academic construction” that she had written herself, and when she has finished she is in no mood to listen to the judges criticisms.

“That was a complete and utter nightmare,” declares Simon. Ariel’s eyes bulge with anger as she tries to explain “every line has a different style,” to which Simon bluntly replies: “I don’t care.”

After the other judges have given her an equally bad critique, Ariel is literally seething with fury. She approaches the judges’ desk and rants at them until Big Tony is forced to step in and escort her out of the room.

In the corridor she scowls: “I don’t need Simon Cowell to tell me I can sing, because I have a degree in it.”

Well that told him.

hi, i think Ariel should have stayed a mermaid. she frightened my 6 year son so much he would'nt go to bed untill 11 oclock, kept saying the nasty woman on the tv is coming to get him. should put people with bad attitudes on after the watershed, if you ask me it would still be to early.

I don't like x-factor - but was drawn to the room when I heard Ariel's stunningly perfect singing - they didn't like her. That makes a lot of sense to me.
