X Factor single outsells the competition...
Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who has bought The X Factor finalists' single Hero - the track is well on the way to being Britain's new number one.
In fact, midweek sales reports show that the single is outselling the rest of the songs in the top ten combined, so it's on track to become the top selling single of 2008.
The single is already sitting at number one in the iTunes and Play.com download charts, with Play.com recording that more than 700 people a minute downloading the song after the show.
Unfortunately the unprecedented sales have seen the single temporarily sell out at Amazon and some other high street and online retailers.
The good news is that makers of the X Factor single are working around the clock to press more copies of the Hero CD to keep up with the phenomenal demand.
You can still place your order at Amazon if you'd prefer a copy of the CD. Your order will then be rushed through as soon as emergency deliveries arrive.
The X Factor finalists single Hero is being sold in aid of Help for Heroes and The Royal Legion Poppy Day charities, which both aid returning British troops who find themselves injured and in need.
Putting The X Factor single at UK No.1, and keeping it there for a long time, would be an amazing way to show support for the men and women who put their lives on the line in the name of Great Britain, knowing they may have to sacrifice them, every single day.
