Young Diana Vickers hasn't had the best of times on The X Factor lately, but few things are more likely to make a gal smile than a date with pop royalty Take That - or so you'd think!
The contenders each underwent a one-on-one masterclass with the band's Gary Barlow and Mark Owen on Monday, with tips being specially tailored to each wannabe's needs.
But whatever they said to 17 year-old Diana Vickers, whose throat problems have caused a troublesome two weeks recently, nearly made her cry!
She told us exclusively, "I got really emotional at one point and started choking up"!
And the dastardly words that caused that reaction? There weren't any - the northern lass was overcome by their compliments. Diana grinned, "They were being really nice about me"!
The trio got on like a house on fire and Diana called her masterclass "Amazing".
She grinned, " I was like, 'Oh, my God!'"
"I was too young for the whole Take That era - my sister was into them. She's older than me. But I'm really into their stuff now they've come back".
A positive masterclass reaction doesn't, however, mean the pressure is off for Diana.
She told us, "When I found out we were singing Take That songs, I thought, 'Oh my gosh, I'm going to ruin their songs"!
"But when I got my song, I was like, 'Yay! I like this!' I was really pleased."
